We are looking for you! Senior Data Scientist / Machine Learning Engineer (m/f/d) We offer a fulltime position (40h/week) in one of our locations in either Heidelberg, Berlin, Leipzig, or Munich. The offer includes the option of working several days per week in the mobile office.

Your mission

Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models and data products to solve complex business problems
Be part of a focused Data Science team and collaborate with stakeholders from all Verivox business units
Drive your own topics and take ownership to shape our projects and architectures
Work with our state-of-the-art tech stack, including Python, AWS, and Docker, to build scalable solutions
Watch your ideas actually come to life: We have a solid conversion rate from POC to production pipelines

Your essential experience and education

Proven track record of excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Solid understanding of advanced statistics and Machine Learning concepts
Fluent in Python with attention to clean and maintainable code
Experience with end-to-end project execution / ML Ops best practices are beneficial – willingness to learn is essential
Ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

Entwickle und implementiere Machine-Learning-Modelle sowie datenbasierte Produkte, um komplexe Business-Probleme zu lösen.
Arbeite in einem spezialisierten Data-Science-Team und tausche dich eng mit Kollegen aus allen Verivox-Bereichen aus.
Treibe eigene Themen voran, übernimm Verantwortung und gestalte unsere Projekte und Architekturen aktiv mit.
Nutze unseren modernen Tech-Stack – unter anderem Python, AWS und Docker – um skalierbare Lösungen zu bauen.
Bringe deine Ideen wirklich auf die Straße: Viele unserer POCs schaffen es in produktive Pipelines.

Das bringst du mit

Du bringst nachweislich starke analytische Fähigkeiten und ein gutes Gespür für Problemlösungen mit.
Du hast ein solides Verständnis von fortgeschrittener Statistik und Machine-Learning-Konzepten.
Du beherrschst Python und achtest auf sauberen, gut wartbaren Code.
Du hast idealerweise Erfahrung mit End-to-End-Projekten oder ML Ops Best Practices – und vor allem: Du hast Lust, dazuzulernen.
Du kannst komplexe technische Zusammenhänge so erklären, dass auch nicht-technische Stakeholder sie verstehen.
