We are looking for you! We offer a full-time position (40h/week) as a Senior Software Engineer (m/f/d) in one of our locations in either Heidelberg, Berlin, Leipzig or Munich. The offer includes the option of working several days per week in the mobile office.

You’ll play a key role in designing, developing and maintaining scalable backend services, APIs, and data-driven systems using modern technologies.
Your work will directly impact our products and contribute to delivering exceptional value to our users.

Your mission

Design, develop and maintain robust backend services using NodeJS, TypeScript and ExpressJS.
Build and consume APIs, ensuring performance, scalability and security.
Work closely with frontend developers, product owners and QA to deliver high-quality features and improvements.
Write and maintain unit/integration tests.
Follow clean code principles and enforce coding standards.
Design, optimize database schemas and queries.
Participate in code reviews, in team meetings and contribute to improving development workflows.
Document software architecture, design decisions and code effectively.

Your essential experience and education

Strong experience with NodeJS, TypeScript, and ExpressJS.
Solid understanding of GraphQL and API development.
Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, including query optimization and schema design.
Proficiency in writing unit/integration tests using Jest.
Familiarity with ESLint and maintaining code quality standards.
Experience with at least one modern ORM framework (Sequelize preferred)
Monitoring and error tracking with at least one modern framework (Sentry preferred).
Familiarity with Firebase for backend services.
Version control and CI/CD knowledge using GitLab
Experience with container orchestration Kubernetes.
Experience with TypeGraphQL is a plus
Experience in cloud platform AWS is a plus

Deine Mission

Entwickle, pflege und erweitere robuste Backend-Services mit NodeJS, TypeScript und ExpressJS
Erstelle und nutze APIs unter Berücksichtigung von Performance, Skalierbarkeit und Sicherheit.
Arbeite eng mit dem Frontend Team, Product Ownern und QA zusammen, um hochwertige Features und Verbesserungen zu liefern.
Schreibe und pflege Unit- und Integrationstests.
Befolge Clean-Code-Prinzipien und achte auf die Einhaltung von Coding-Standards.
Entwirf und optimiere Datenbankschemata sowie Abfragen.
Beteilige dich an Code Reviews, Teammeetings und der Weiterentwicklung unserer Entwicklungsprozesse.
Dokumentiere Softwarearchitektur, Designentscheidungen und Code verständlich und nachvollziehbar.

Das bringst du mit

Du bringst fundierte Erfahrung mit NodeJS, TypeScript und ExpressJS mit.
Du verfügst über ein solides Verständnis von GraphQL und der Entwicklung von APIs.
Du hast praktische Erfahrung im Umgang mit PostgreSQL, einschließlich Query-Optimierung und dem Design von Datenbankschemata.
Du beherrschst das Schreiben von Unit- und Integrationstests mit Jest.
Du kennst dich mit ESLint aus und sorgst für die Einhaltung von Code-Qualitätsstandards.
Du hast Erfahrung mit mindestens einem modernen ORM-Framework (idealerweise Sequelize).
Du nutzt mindestens ein modernes Monitoring- und Fehlerverfolgungstool (bevorzugt Sentry).
Du bist mit Firebase im Bereich Backend-Services vertraut.
Du bringst Kenntnisse in Versionskontrolle und CI/CD-Prozessen mit GitLab mit.
Du hast Erfahrung mit Container-Orchestrierung durch Kubernetes.
Du hast idealerweise Erfahrung mit TypeGraphQL.
Du bringst idealerweise Erfahrung mit der Cloud-Plattform AWS mit.
